He was born in Garches and lived for long in the 7th « arrondissement » of the capital city, which certainly gave him the tastes of a street urchin, some sort of “Gavroche”. Like many, he wasn’t born with a brush in his hands. The constraints of life didn’t allow him to open on aesthetics. He came into Art, first out of curiosity, second with the strong impression that through shapes and colors, he could really express his interrogations on the world and might, to his own extent, participate to its rewriting. He didn’t, - couldn’t- study Art in specific schools. As a self-taught man he formed himself to oil painting, copying classic masters. Little by little he got free of it and turned to abstract Art, that could better translate his vision of the world.
